Walk Wade Jackson Hole Fishing Report – (9.19.23)
The Jackson Hole and Teton Valley area offers some incredible DIY wade fishing opportunities during the summer months. These wade fishing opportunities are in good fall shape for exploring and getting off the beaten path and settling down after the recent rains we received. For those anglers looking to walk wade, the Snake River, South Fork of the Snake and Teton River tributaries are looking great.
South Fork and Palisades Reservoir Tributaries: Open and fishing well. Look for Dry dropper and small attractors to be your best options. Flows are getting low and clarity is ultraclear.
Jackson Hole/Snake River Tributaries: Fishing well with attractors and terrestrials. Look for Mahoganies and BWOs too!
Teton River Tributaries: Open and fishing well. Low but water temps have cooled off. Great option for mid-day dry fly fishing and dry dropper rigs.
