Mark your calendars! The first annual Mexico Bass on the Fly Invitational – “Lobina Negra Invitacional” is January 15th – 19th, 2026! This two angler team fly fishing largemouth bass tournament will be hosted at Cora’s Lodge on Aguamilpa in Nayarit, Mexico. Cash Prize payouts, angling prizes and more! Teams can consist of two anglers/members (single anglers will be admitted and paired with other single anglers on a case by case basis). The tournament is limited to 6 teams.
While we are still finalizing the tournament rules and regulations, the tournament structure will be a mix of the following team and individual scoring categories. Team Points will be awarded for gross weight of five bass per team each day. Bonus points will be awarded for team Bass landed on “Top Water” flies as well as team total number of Bass landed each day. Heaviest Bass as well as total quantity of Bass landed will round out the individual scoring categories. Full tournament rules and regulations coming soon!
Cost is $2750 per angler/$5500 per team and includes tournament entry fees, 3 days of tournament fishing, 4 nights double occupancy lodging, all your meals with Beers, Margaritas, Soft Drinks and Bottled Water, Staff Gratuity and transportation to and from the Puerto Vallarta airport.
