Born and raised in Denver, Josh developed a love for the mountains at an early age, finding great joy in skiing, camping, hiking and fishing. After attending Northwestern University in an attempt to master the finer points of journalism; the irresistible allure of the mountains brought him to Jackson Hole in 2003. At that point, a strong interest in fly fishing quickly blossomed into a full-blown obsession. Since then Josh has honed in his abilities as an angler, fly tier and guide, developing a reputation as a fun-loving, capable guide with excellent patience and teaching skills. Josh’s hard work ethic and passion for guiding paid off when he was awarded the prestigious One Fly Carmichael-Cohen Memorial award in 2018, and then went on to win the One Fly as the top scoring Wyoming guide in 2021. Normally you will find Josh happily seated at the oars of his driftboat, but otherwise you’re likely to find him with skis on his feet or wandering the beaches and flats of Mexico with fly rod in hand.
