As a fly shop, we recognize it’s hard to differentiate between the plethora of angling gear choices. So, we put the gear in the hands of those that demand the most and the best, our WCA Fly Fishing Guides. We picked our top new products in the WCA Fly Shop for the 2016 Fishing Season. We placed those items in the hands of our guides to wear, use, cast, fish, abuse and enjoy! Simply put, it’s gear that is WCA Guide Tested. Entering his 10th year guiding at WorldCast Anglers, Trevor has been known for his new and innovative ideas so the Mountain Khakis Cruiser Pantwas a perfect fit.
“To start, the construction of the cruiser pant is impressive! All the seams are smooth and very durable. The cruiser pant has a light feel and is extremely comfortable on and off the water. I first noticed the 2 way stretch material throughout the legs with some slight articulation at the knee. Simply stated, the Mountain Khakis Cruiser Pant is a great all around active pant for anyone that enjoys an outdoor lifestyle.
With 3 inch gussied crotch tapering to 1 and a half inch at the double reinforced heel cuffs, the Cruiser pant is tough enough for lots of fun and airport lounging too. Most pant designs have a 3 inch gusset but they don’t extend the gusset down to the heel cuff. Without being to baggy this extended gusset allows for a wide range of motion. They also are rated UPF 40+ and DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treated.
The heel cuffs have tiny buttons to taper the pant at the ankles. This is easier to slide into the waders, hip-boots or hiking gators. Under the waders, wet wading a small remote stream or driving to the next fishing destination, The Cruiser pant is a joy to wear all day and still look good going out for dinner.”
