Dry fly fishing on the South Fork is kicking off with a bang this week as salmonflies, golden stones, PMD’s and Yellow Sallies are all hatching in good numbers. We have seen very good fishing with big foam dry flies in the canyon this week, and there are some fish moving onto the riffles to feed on hatching PMD’s. Flows will continue to drop through the weekend and we’re expecting the fishing to keep getting better.
