Announcing the winner of our
“Trout Bum in Training” Photo Contest
The time has come to bring our “Trout Bum in Training” Photo Contest to a close. We received so many great entries and so much support from all the voters that contributed. It was great to see so many “Trout Bums in Training” from across the country. With so many great photos of great kids, it was tough to narrow down the finalists to just one photo but we have selected a winner.
The winning photo was submitted by
Stephen Sullivan of Jackson, WY.
The photo comes from an annual Memorial Day pilgrimage to Sun Valley, Idaho to fish Silver Creek on the Nature Conservancy. The tradition started with a group of friends on a typical trout bum expedition in attempt to catch the famous Brown Drake hatch of Silver Creek. The trip has evolved into much more when the crew began bringing their trout bums in training along with them about 4 or 5 years ago. Now the boys look forward to the adventure as much as their fathers and the fly-fishing tradition has surely been passed on to the next generation.
