Flat Creek Fishing Report – (9.30.26)

The angling season on Flat Creek is now OPEN until October 31st. As Fall starts around the greater Jackson Hole Region, anglers should start to see better hatches and conditions on Flat Creek. Leftover Hecuba Drakes, Mahogonies and Callibaetis are around mixed in with Terrestrials. The main hatches are going to be BWOs and Midges for the remainder of Fall. Cool and cloudy conditions will bring out BWOs. Sunny warm days will keep Terrestrials active for the next couple of weeks. Traffic on Flat Creek has thinned out but still concentrate on weekdays with prime fishing hours landed mid-day. Be ready for highly technical fishing. Long leaders, light tippets and a downstream presentation is going to be key. Keep a low profile and get ready for one of the most rewarding or frustrating fishing experiences in the area.
