Salt River Fishing Report – (9.19.23)
The Salt River received a good little push of water from the late summer rains and cooler weather! Anglers are having some good fishing days on the Salt River as summer ends and fall begins. Look for your Chernobyl patterns and Hoppers paired with a variety of droppers to be productive. Leftover PMDs and Caddis are also present and creating some good dry fly fishing opportunities. Don’t forget about Terrestrials as well. Mahoganies and BWOs are present during cool fall like days. Streamer fishing should pick up and anglers should start to look for Brown Trout coming out of Palisades Reservoir to spawn. Similar to allot of our rivers in the area, it pays to be on the water outside of general user traffic.
