Both the South Fork and Snake rivers have fished very well lately. Good hatches of PMD’s have had most of the fish looking up. Cloudy days have been best, but fishing on sunny days has been equally good at times. We should see some of the best hopper fishing of the season over the next couple weeks, and don’t forget about ants and beetles as well especially on warm sunny days. In the Jackson area, the Gros Ventre and Hoback have fished very well, and cooler nights have made for improved fishing on both The Green River and Flat Creek. September is right around the corner but there is still a lot of great fishing ahead of us, so get out and enjoy it while you can!
