Salt River Fishing Report – (9.30.26)
The fall season is here and that comes with low flows, clear water and pressured fish. Overall, fishing conditions are good on the Salt River with very low flows. Hatches are going to be concentrated with BWOs and the occasional Hecuba Drake and Mahoganies. Terrestrials are continuing to make their presence known on warm sunny days. Be ready with some dry dropper rigs as well as shallower nymph rigs. Don’t forget about Streamers for those Brown Trout that are starting to get aggressive. As we transition farther into fall, look for our fish to move into slower water types as water tempatures cool and water levels drop.
